Searching the library catalog is a great place to start your research! Fortunately, it is pretty straight-forward. Watch the video below for an introduction or follow these directions:

You can access the catalog from the library homepage at vpcc.edu/library or by clicking on the Library link in the top right hand corner on the VPCC homepage.

Once at the library page, the large search box in the middle of the page is our catalog search. This searches all books at both the Hampton and Historic Triangle campuses, as well as ebooks, audiobooks, streaming videos, and some of our journal titles (though it does not search for individual articles). Try typing your search terms in here, for example "Queen Mary". Anything with those words in the title, description, author or publisher fields will be in the results. Then you can narrow the results by campus or online, or by type of resource (such as books, videos, magazines, etc.) by choosing from the options on the left hand side of the screen.
